GoOd LuCk

Hello Bloggers,

I haven't written for such a long time, but I'm very busy studying for the Annuals which we will be starting next Monday 12th June 2006. I miss writing on the blogs but will certainely write during the summer months!!

The exams are spread out over almost three weeks, so I will not write before then. Wishing everyone good luck and take care.

Summer.

Summer comes on the twenty first of June and ends on the twentieth of September. Many people like summer, only a few don’t. I really like summer.

In summer we have three months of holidays. I think that every student would be looking forward to summer, mostly for this reason. Another good thing about summer is that if you feel hot, you can go to have a jump in the sea. Malta is an island, and so it is surrounded by the sea. You can also switch on a fan or an air-conditioner; or maybe buy a delicious ice-cream.

When summer begins we would normally be sitting for our annual exams. That’s very boring. Summer in Malta is very hot and several people hate it when they sweat. Infact some people like travelling abroad to northern countries during summer holidays.

In summer we also celebrate many feasts like ‘Santa Maria’, and ‘l-Imnarja’. Maltese people love to have a good time with their friends at the feasts and drink some special wine. Many people, especially students, stay awake till late, since the following day they would be on holiday, and everyone likes to wake up late in the morning!

When summer ends, students begin school again. Summer is very short when comparing it to the other three school seasons! For me summer is the best time of the year!

A Page Form My Diary.

Saturday 14th August 2004

Dear Diary,

I’m really tired, but I’m still going to tell you what happened today. Do you remember when I told you yesterday I had to prepare the luggage to go to my aunt? I did so... my sister Corinne and I went to sleep at my auntie’s house.

My cousin Charmaine got married today..... yesterday, because it’s already two a.m. and we were her bride’s maids. We woke up at eight o’clock, because at nine we had an appointment at the hairdresser. So at nine Charmaine, Elaine (her sister), my sister and I were at the hairdresser’s studio. By one o’clock we were back home. Then my aunt fried some delicious chips, with some sausages.

We ate them and went to have a small nap, because at two thirty the make up artist was coming. When she arrived she made some make up to Charmaine and Elaine, auntie Joyce, and me. Afterwards we all went to dress up, because Victor (the groom), phoned us to tell us that the photographer had arrived at his home.

When the photographer arrived we had some photos in every corner of the house. I felt like a famous pop star, especially when we arrived at church. When we got out of the Limousine I saw a crowd of people, and most special......the photographer who now was taking a video not photos only!! I was really proud of being a bride’s maid for the first time.

The party went on well and I really enjoyed it!! I have to go and sleep now, because as I told you, I’m really tired.
